The Puyallup Tribe and Tahoma Global Logistics were recognized by the Economic Development Board of Tacoma-Pierce County on March 20 with an Excellent 10 award, an award given to the top startup companies in Pierce County.
The ceremony was held at the Greater Tacoma Convention Center to highlight outstanding economic development projects around the community, including the Tribe’s use of its properties along the Blair Waterway in Tacoma to create jobs and expand international trade.
Puyallup Tribal Council Chairman Bill Sterud and Puyallup Tribal Enterprises CEO Matt Wadhwani were on hand to accept the award.
