In partnership with the Puyallup Tribe of Indians, the Port of Tacoma will begin construction of the Wapato Creek stream & wetland habitat project, located between 12th St & State Route 509, on 7/26/21:
WHO: KLB Construction
WHY: Restoring ~20 acres of stream & wetland habitat with native plants & replacing 12th St Wapato Creek culverts with a bridge
ROAD CLOSURE DETAILS: 12th St. between 46th and Alexander Ave will be closed for bridge work from July 26, 2021 through Feb. 2022. Access will be provided to local residents.
