4 p.m. update: Tribal Administration has been notified that an employee in the Sound Credit Union Building also tested positive for COVID-19 today. The building has been cleaned since the last time the employee was in the office.
Dear Tribal Community,
An employee who works in the Incubator Building has tested positive for COVID-19. The employee was in the building and in the Administration Building last week.
Because of several cases last week, Tribal Administration took a proactive approach and closed all Tribal government buildings from today through Friday to help slow the spread. Access by employees is limited, although services to the Membership are continuing. Employees are expected to telework, and paid administrative leave is provided to those unable to telework, with supervisory approval.
Although they are already closed, the Administration Building and Incubator Building will undergo a deep cleaning as an extra precaution.
The Tribe has taken numerous measures to ensure the safety of our employees during the coronavirus outbreak, including encouraging teleworking for positions that allow, implementing social distancing, installing Plexiglas barriers, remodeling building entries, and conducting regular cleaning and disinfection of buildings.
