Birth to 6 Program
Mission Statement
The Puyallup Tribe Birth to Six Program mission is to impact its target population by strengthening the ties we have with various tribal and non-tribal service providers to assure a continuum of early intervention/prevention services for families in the tribal community. By doing so, we are promoting the healthy development of the Tribes’ most valuable resource, its children, who will one day play an important role in structuring the future of the Tribe.
Purpose/Vision
Our purpose/vision is to provide culturally relevant family resource coordination and early intervention/prevention services for families with children age’s birth to five years of age who are enrolled members of a federally recognized tribe. Services are family friendly and provided in natural environment settings. The program is primarily a direct services program that screens and identifies children in all areas of development and makes referrals to the appropriate service provider.
