How can you report suspicious behavior in your neighborhood? What are Tribal Council and law enforcement authorities doing to address public safety in Eastside Tacoma? How can members of the Tribal community stay safe as they go about their daily lives?
Following recent violence in Eastside Tacoma, Tribal Council has called a public safety meeting for Saturday, Sept. 7, at the Emerald Queen Riverboat, 2102 E. Alexander Ave., Tacoma. Breakfast will be available from 9 to 10 a.m., followed by a two-hour program led by Council that covers public safety in general as well as the FBI’s attention to Eastside Tacoma and steps Council has taken to improve public safety.
The chief federal law enforcement officer in Western Washington will be present as well as the FBI, Tribal Police Department, Tacoma Police Department, and support programs such as Community/Family Services.
