Join the official dedication of the Fishing Wars Memorial Bridge, or yabuk’ʷali meaning “place of a fight,” formerly known as the Puyallup Avenue Bridge.
The Bridge was recently renamed in a collaborative effort between the Puyallup Tribe and City of Tacoma. This project, along with future renaming efforts, not only promotes the revitalization of the Twulshootseeed language, but also commemorates a deeply meaningful tribal connection, both historical and cultural, to the City of Tacoma.
This event is open to tribal members and community.
