Darkness to Light, Stewards of Children Training

WHAT IS STEWARDS OF CHILDREN®
Stewards of Children®, is an evidence-informed prevention training to help adults prevent,
recognize, and react responsibly to child sexual abuse. The training is two hours and features
survivor stories, experts in the field, and other concerned individuals all providing practical
guidance to prevent child sexual abuse. Learn more about Stewards of Children®.

• Delivered in a trauma-informed way by instructors and facilitators who have been rigorously
trained
• Features powerful videos paired with robust facilitated discussion
• Teaches three foundational empowerment skills:
-Making choices that protect children
-Taking risks to minimize danger to children
-Supporting each other
• Highlights The 5 Steps to Protecting Children and how to apply them to protect children from
child sexual abuse better
