Sunshine and smiles were plentiful during July’s Elder Luncheon held at the House of Respect.
July’s Honored Elder was Laura Sterud, who was blanketed by Tribal Council Members Annette Bryan and Monica Miller. Sterud was also gifted a woven cedar hat made by her great-grandson after receiving thanks from her family and friends.
Elders were treated to live music performed by Raeann Phillips, and shared in an array of meals provided by the House of Respect staff.
The luncheon was concluded with a raffle drawing hosted by Tribal Council Chairman Bill Sterud, with numerous lucky winners receiving cash prizes and gifts to take home.
